The Monessen Public Works Department consists of the Parks Crew and the Street Crew. They are responsible for cleaning right-of-ways, maintaining city-owned properties, snow removal, patching potholes, maintenance of city vehicles, removal of litter, street sweeping, and many other operations and maintenance projects throughout the city.
